The Erie County History Project was founded by brothers making up a committee of the Western New York Lodge of Research. This was in response to a charge of RW Deputy Grand Master Jeff Williamson to preserve the oral and recorded histories of consolidated lodges since the 1980s. The Facebook Group for this project can be found HERE.

The compilation of this knowledge is a living, evolving site — originally a wiki using the same platform as Wikipedia, but now powered by WordPress. It can be currently found HERE. We are LOOKING FOR EDITORS to enter a significant amount of information. Training will be provided as necessary.

Video Interviews

Inspired by the Shoah Foundation, a project by Steven Spielberg and others to preserve the living memories of Holocaust survivors using video, we hope to interview older brothers from lodges that no longer exist.
