This was an amazing historic event. 200 years ago ME Dewitt Clinton “married” the waters at the terminus of the Erie Canal. This event signaled the end of the construction of the Erie Canal and marked Buffalo as the most import trade city in the east. To honor this historic event the Triennial of Royal Arch Masons reenacted the event. This event welcomed Masons from 5 continents and 30 countries. Our very own ME Jeffery M. Williamson acted as Master of Ceremonies for the event. We welcoming our Grand Master and even Congressmen Brain Higgins. ME Piers A. Vaughan , Grand High Priest, escorted ME Edmund D. Harrison , General Grand High Priest to the foot bridge where 200 years ago ME Dewitt Clinton did the same thing. For those that missed it this event was widely covered with video and photography or which I am sure we will have a copy of for the Erie County Masonic Wiki page. Keep posted for details!
